Nick Debere

Nick is a Management Consultant specialising in human services with clients including some of the largest private, public and not-for-profit organisations within the sector.  In 2012 he was invited by the Minister to consult on policy development for JobActive and in 2018 sat on the expert panel for the design on Workforce Australia. His main areas of focus include strategy, advocacy, governance, diversification, and performance. 

Nick is an experienced Non-Executive Director, Chairs several sub-committees and has previous experience on the Board of the National Australian Apprenticeship Association. He has successfully project managed and written federal and state government tenders. This includes planning retention and expansion strategies for Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (2014 and 2018. 2023), managing a consortium of Disability Employment Services providers to improve performance prior to expansion in the 2018 tender process as well as supporting organisations to both enter into and expand market share in JobActive and Workforce Australia.  

On a personal basis Nick is a keen scuba diver and passionate about the marine environment. He is currently involved in research with the Southern Cross University to further understand turtle movement in estuaries in northern NSW.
